Remember that the target audience for your speech is your classmates, not those people present to witness your speech. o You will conduct an audience analysis of your classmates in a discussion area during Unit 2. This will allow you to choose and refine your topic. • Conform to a 4-6 minute time frame. • Use at least 3 different pieces of evidence from at least 2 different sources. Basic speech requirements: • Required outlines (Use the Informative Outlines Guides in Doc Sharing) o Working/preparation outline with: ? Clear specific purpose statement; ? Clear central idea statement; ? Organizational pattern; ? Specified outline format with: ? Introduction which contains: ? An attention-getting statement, ? A clear topic introduction statement, ?
